How does a Nolo Digital Form work?

Fill out the form online. Then, save the form by creating or logging into your Nolo.com account. If you buy the form, you'll be able to print, send, or download the finished form as a PDF (Adobe Reader format). You'll also be able to create as many new copies of the form as you wish during the time you've paid for. (There is no option to buy "just one copy" of the form.) If you make multiple documents, give each one a unique title (click the "Edit Title" button at the top of the form) so you can easily tell them apart.

How do I move from field to field in the digital form?

You can either use your mouse to click on a field or use the TAB key.

Can I download my document in an RTF/editable format?

No, Nolo's Digital Forms are available only in PDF (Adobe Reader) format; you can't edit the wording. Nolo editors spend a great deal of time to ensure that each form's language is legal and safe. Any change could inadvertently create inconsistencies or errors--and could cause legal complications later.

How do I save my Nolo Digital Form to my computer?

Popups MUST be enabled as the PDF will be generated by opening a new window.

So, if you use a pop-up blocker, you'll want to turn it off before you try to save your form.

To save your completed digital form:

  • Click Print to generate a PDF of your document in a popup window. If you need a pdf reader, you can download a free copy of Adobe Acrobat Reader.
  • In the popup window, click Download Document.
  • Once you see your Nolo Digital Form, hover your cursor over the lower area of the document window and see whether a new set of icons appears near the bottom.
  • If icons appear, click on the icon that looks like a floppy disk to SAVE.
  • If icons do not appear, click File–Save As. File Type should show "PDF." If it shows "HTML," try downloading using another browser.

If you can't find your Digital Form after download, here are some good places to check:

  • your Documents folder
  • your Downloads folder
  • your Desktop

How do I print my Nolo Digital Form?

If you're trying to print a draft or preview, the Progress Bar must show 100% completion before you can print, so if the document isn't loading, check to make sure that you've entered information into all the required fields.

  • In the popup window, click Open Document.

  • If icons do not appear, use CTRL-P to print your Nolo Digital Form.
