Ruth Maurice is a California attorney with a diverse background. She has practiced criminal defense work for the public defender offices in San Joaquin and Santa Cruz counties. She also practiced tax-exempt private foundation law and contract law for the William & Flora Hewlett Foundation’s Office of the General Counsel.

Ruth subsequently worked in Santa Clara County as a certified mediator, helping litigants interested in alternatives to trial.

Ruth earned her A.B. from Harvard College and her J.D. from the University of California Davis School of Law.
